Silymarin complex, particularly the silybum component, appears to protect the liver through antioxidant activity and stabilization of the cell membranes. It prevents certain toxins from entering liver cells and stimulates regeneration of injured liver cells. Metabolic's milk thistle (Silybum marianum) seed extract is standardized to 80 percent silymarin. Each capsule contains 360 mg of milk thistle extract standardized to contain 300 mg Silymarin. Use with Lipoic Acid 300 mg and Basic Scavengers for a complete hepatic protective protocol.
